The children of Israel are descendants of Abraham, Issaac, and Jacob (whose name was later changed to Israel). Jacob had twelve sons. From those sons became the twelve tribes of Israel.
Jacob with sons and their families went into Egypt to escape a famine in the land. They experienced many years of prosperity and growth, but after the death of all the patriarchs and the rise of a wicked Pharoah, the children of Israel were tricked into slavery. Although they were not slaves the entire time in Egypt, the children of Israel spent more than 400 years in the land. Upon their Exodus, a covenant was made between the children of Israel and The Most High Yahuah (Deut. 1:1). We can find the terms of this covenant in Deuteronomy 28. The Most High sets before them both blessings when keeping the covenant (Deut. 28:2-14)and curses for dishonoring the covenant (Deut. 28: 15-68).
Deut. 28:46 says... And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed FOREVER.
The curses would be an IDENTIFYING MARK on the children of Israel FOREVER if they did not honor the covenant.
Furthermore, we see in Deut 29:10-15, this covenant was not just made with the children of Israel that were present at the time, but also with their descendants in generations to come.
That thou shouldest enter into covenant with the YAHUAH thy ALAHIYM, and into his oath, which the YAHUAH thy ALAHIYM maketh with thee this day:
That he may establish thee to day for a people unto himself, and thathe may be unto thee a God, as he hath said unto thee, and as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.
Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath;
But with himthat standeth here with us this day before the YAHUAH our ALAHIYM, and also with himthat isnot here with us this day:
Deuteronomy 29:12-15
Why is this important to know?
Identifying the people and the covenant made with the children of Israel then, helps us to identify the children of Israel now. Let’s look at two scriptures within the covenant.
… And the YAHUAH shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, evenwood and stone. (Deut. 28:64)
… And the YAHUAH shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you. (Deut. 28:68)
It is important to note, Egypt is a metaphor for bondage. With that said, can you identify a nation of people who know very little about their ancestry and are grafted into the cultures and religions of nations that are not their own? Are you able to identify a group of people who have spent the better part of the last 1000 years being at the bottom of every barrel of the world? Can you identify a group of people who were scattered among all nations?
There are maps that shows the routes of the Trans-Atlantic Slave trade.
This is just the beginning of the last scattering of the children of Israel.
